1. Start with packing size and gross weight
Ask for dimensions, gross weight, quantity and total volume. Added handles, trolleys or protective cases can change both weight and volume.
2. Express and air freight
Express can suit samples and urgent small orders. Confirm whether delivery is airport-to-airport, door-to-door or includes customs services.
3. Sea freight
Sea freight is often suitable for larger or heavier orders. Clarify LCL or FCL, destination charges and who handles import clearance.
4. Rail and land routes
Rail and road services can be relevant for Russia, Turkey and parts of Central Asia. Availability changes by destination and forwarder capacity.
5. What DDP means
DDP can simplify delivery responsibility, but confirm whether duties, taxes, brokerage, remote delivery and unloading are included.
6. Packing and pre-shipment confirmation
Confirm the final packing list, package count, consignee, destination, delivery scope and estimated transit before dispatch.
